Week 3: Filming

Monday
This Monday was a public holiday so we decided to film the suspect board from scene 5 and 7 on that day in Ella's place. It was successful as we were organised and manage to have some footages with us. We encounter no problems which are a good start.

We also decided to divide the editing into three scenes each:

Tuesday
During class, Mr Andrews asked us to show the footages we have from Monday's shoot. He said that the lights on the wall is not dramatic enough and is not film noir. Therefore, he proposes to film at the location in the classroom which fits more to the style of film noir.  So we decided to re-film all suspect board scene which it is moved to Friday.

Afterwards, we filmed the interrogation scene of Nick. Throughout the filming, we were adjusting the lighting to create shadows on Nick to show that he is the villain. Mr Andrews was there to help us with the lights and mentioned that the table we used is too high but it was too late. We then finish filming that scene.

Wednesday
We were going to film during lunchtime but Ella could not come. However, it is not a worry as we have the whole week to film.

Thursday
Originally, the location for the CCTV footage was inside a room with a desk. However, it was impossible to film when we thought back. So we change the location to a staircase as it is more film noir this way. It took a lot of footages to get the right one but we succeed nonetheless.

Friday
Since we had to go to QG Athletics, we had to re-film the suspect board scene due to feedback. It was better than the original shots as it was more film noir. We also saw that we slowly improved on lighting which is good.

Weekend
On Sunday, we filmed on a balcony as a rooftop, which was an interesting shoot. There were some changes made such as instead of long shots, medium shot was used because of space restriction.
Other than that, the filming went well because we were satisfied with our footages.
