Term 3: Week 1- The Downfall of Dumpty

During this week, I have most of my shotlist and treatment nearly done. Mr Andrews read over my shotlist for feedback.

Feedback:

  • Simplify the shot description
  • Short the dialogue and voice-over
  • Breakdown the action into two or more 
  • Make sure that the shot description matches the action


Afterwards, I continue working on the shotlist and treatment due to the final date being delay to next week.

Term 2 Week 1: Hero's Journey

19/04/17 Before we began our lesson, our teacher asked us what have we watched during the holidays. During the break, I've watched the film Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them and Netflix original series, Daredevil . I have enjoyed both of them as they were interesting and action packed. The thing I like about the Fantastic Beast is the storyline and special effect used in there as I love magical worlds in films. Documentary Interviews

This task introduced us to a new technique in filming documentaries which are interviews. For the first few weeks, Adele and I decided it was the best to conduct mock interviews so we know how will the interview be on the actual days. This way we can be prepared and all of this is thanks from Mr Andrews and past students who gave us tips to always practise before doing the real thing. Therefore, throughout the project, we were ready for our interviews and were not stressed out. However, we came across some issues along the way. Here are some tips Mr Andrews gave to us about writing questions for the interviews. We need not be direct. Documentary Animation: Video Scribe and Power Toon

This term was a special term for animation. Our documentary required animation to produce some statistics. Therefore, we need to find animation software to satisfy our wants. There was two animation software I mentioned in my design which is VideoScribe and PowToon . In this post, I will reflect on my use of both software as I did try animate with both while I was editing the documentary. VideoScribe VideoScribe was an easy software to use since I have used it before for other school projects. Therefore, I knew how to get the animation such as moving the characters or write a text. Here are the things I have done so far with the program. (Photos will be posted) However, there were disadvantages that were associated with the program. It only allows me to use for seven days since it was a free trial.
