Term 2 Week 1: Hero's Journey

Before we began our lesson, our teacher asked us what have we watched during the holidays. During the break, I've watched the film Fantastic Beast and Where to Find Them and Netflix original series, Daredevil. I have enjoyed both of them as they were interesting and action packed. The thing I like about the Fantastic Beast is the storyline and special effect used in there as I love magical worlds in films. As for Daredevil, I like the way they executed the action scenes and the way it was filmed. I also enjoyed the dark and realistic side of the story.
In this lesson, we learned about the hero's journey in which is a structure used in folklore, religious stories and media. We learn about the call to an adventure in which a normal person gets drag into a world never seen before. Also the mentor who is there to guide the hero and so on. We then began watching The Matrix in which is a primary example of a hero's journey.
Also there was a task given for homework in which we need to:

In this lesson, we discussed about improving the blogs. The things that needed to improve on the blogs were that we need to keep track on the things we do in lessons. This would help us to refer to them while we are working on a project. Also, reviewing films or tv shows on the blog to express our opinions towards them of what we like or dislike about the film or tv show. Also, another thing to improve is communications in class. We need to contribute more into discussions. Afterwards, for the rest of the lesson, we continue watching The Matrix.

Then choose one of them and find the following:

- Describe the call to adventure
Agent K questions Jay about his encounter with the alien after Jay chases down that said alien while introducing Jay into the world of aliens
- List the mentor characters from this films
Agent K
- Outline the Goddess Character or metaphor
In pursuit of a dangerous cockroach alien, Agent K and J meet Dr. Weaver, a beautiful morgue practitioner who unknowingly possesses the prized, Orion's Belt.
- Describe the rewards/ultimate boon
The Orion's Belt is the reward or Ultimate Boon as Agent K and J defeats the cockroach alien. Therefore, both agents saved the planet from an alien attack.
