Week 2

This week we continue looking at the representation of women in the media. We first watch a documentary called Miss Representation which is about women in American media. While watching the documentary, I have taken notes on things that I have learned and noticed. Term 3, Week 1

This term, we are going to look at the portrayal of women in the media. We discuss how the women in some media are misrepresented and represented well. Afterwards, we watched Disney's Sleeping Beauty and analysing it.  After watching the film, we were then asked to write down the characteristics of each character's such as stereotypes and things we liked about them. We need 10 words for Aurora and Prince Phillip and two other characters, 5 words each. Afterwards, the class came together for discussion and share our thoughts. New words from other classmates were added.
